Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

General Hair Loss/Alopecia and Treatment Questions

 Consultations

Do I need a consultation before starting treatment?

Yes. A consultation is essential to correctly diagnose your hair loss/alopecia and recommend the most effective and safe treatment plan tailored to you.

Are consultations free?

This depends on the consultation type. We offer [free / paid] consultations, which will be clearly stated when booking. Mostly, consultations are free.

Are consultations online or in person?

We offer in-clinic consultations. This allows us to analyse your scalp and hair using our Trichological Microscope – which in turn allows us to offer the most accurate advice and diagnostics.

What happens during a consultation?

We assess your Hair Loss/Alopecia history, scalp condition and follicle activity using our Trichological Microscope, lifestyle, and goals. You’ll receive the most honest, professional advice and a personalised treatment plan.

Treatments & Results

How long does it take to see results?

Results vary depending on the treatment and individual. Most clients notice improvements between 3–6 months, with continued progress over time.

Are the treatments safe?

Yes. All treatments we offer are clinically backed, safe when used as directed, and provided with full guidance and ongoing support.

Will I need ongoing treatment?

Hair loss/Alopecia can be a long-term condition. Some treatments may require ongoing use to maintain results – this does really depend on age, hair loss/alopecia type and stage. We will always be transparent about expectations.

Hair Replacement Systems

What is a Hair Replacement System?

A Hair Replacement System is a non-surgical solution designed to replicate natural hair, tailored to your scalp, hair colour, density, and lifestyle.

Will it look natural?

Yes. When fitted and maintained correctly, modern hair systems are virtually undetectable and blend seamlessly with your natural hair.

Can I swim, exercise, and shower with it?

Absolutely. Our systems are designed for real life, including sports, swimming, and everyday activities.

Laser Hair Therapy (Low-Level Laser Therapy – LLLT)

What is Laser Hair Therapy?

Laser Hair Therapy, also known as Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), uses safe, low-energy laser light to stimulate hair follicles, improve scalp circulation, and encourage healthier hair growth.

Who is suitable for Laser Hair Therapy?

Laser Hair Therapy is most effective for individuals experiencing early-stage hair thinning, pattern hair loss and/or alopecia. It can be used by both men and women and works best when follicles are still active – during your initial consultation this would be analysed and confirmed either way.

Is Laser Hair Therapy safe?

Yes. Laser Hair Therapy is non-invasive, pain-free, and clinically backed with no downtime.

How often will I need treatment?

Most treatment plans involve 2–4 sessions per month for around 6-9 months. Your specialist will advise the best schedule for you.

When will I see results?

Most clients begin to notice improvements in hair quality and reduced shedding within 3 months, with continued improvement over time.

Can Laser Hair Therapy be combined with other treatments?

Yes. Laser Hair Therapy works extremely well alongside treatments such as Hair Transplantation, PRP, topical solutions, supplements, and hair replacement systems.

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Therapy

What is PRP hair treatment?

PRP therapy uses a small sample of your own blood, which is processed to concentrate the platelets and growth factors. This plasma is then injected into the scalp to stimulate hair follicles and promote natural hair growth.

Is PRP safe?

Yes. PRP uses your own blood, making it a natural and low-risk treatment when carried out by trained professionals.

Does PRP hurt?

Discomfort is minimal and well tolerated.

How many PRP sessions are needed?

Typically, a course of 3–4 sessions spaced around 4–6 weeks apart is recommended, followed by maintenance treatments if you wish.

When will I see results from PRP?

Results vary, but many clients notice reduced shedding within 6–8 weeks, with visible improvements in thickness and regrowth from 3–6 months.

Hair Transplantation

What is a hair transplant?

A hair transplant is a surgical procedure where healthy hair follicles are taken from a donor area (usually the back or sides of the scalp) and transplanted into thinning or bald areas.

Am I suitable for a hair transplant?

Suitability depends on factors such as donor hair density, type of hair loss, age, and long-term hair loss pattern. A thorough consultation is essential.

Is a hair transplant permanent?

Transplanted hair is typically permanent. However, surrounding non-transplanted hair may continue to thin, which is why ongoing hair loss management is often recommended.

Does a hair transplant look natural?

Yes. When performed correctly, hair transplants produce very natural-looking results that blend seamlessly with your existing hair.

Is a hair transplant painful?

The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic. Some mild discomfort may occur during recovery, but this is usually minimal and temporary.

How long does recovery take?

Most clients return to normal activities within a week. Full healing occurs within a few weeks, with transplanted hair growing gradually over several months. Good results are expected to be seen around the 5 month period with results improving every month afte this.

When will I see full results?

New hair growth typically begins around 3–4 months, with full results visible at 9–15 months.

Do you offer alternatives to hair transplantation?

Yes. For clients who are not suitable or prefer non-surgical options, we offer PRP, Laser Hair Therapy, medical treatments, and advanced hair replacement systems.

Combining Treatments

Can I combine multiple treatments?

Yes. Many clients achieve the best results by combining treatments such as PRP, Laser Hair Therapy, and medical hair loss solutions. These treatments can also be advised alongside Hair Transplantations. Your treatment plan will be personalised.

Will you recommend surgery if I don’t need it?

No. We pride ourselves on ethical, honest advice. Surgery is only recommended if appropriate and beneficial for your long-term results.

Payments & Finance

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we offer flexible 0% payment options on selected treatments. Please ask during your consultation for available plans.

Are prices transparent?

Absolutely. All costs are explained clearly before you commit to any treatment.
